Metal and Mercury Free Restorations

Fillings

Ceramic also known as porcelain, and composite-resin technologies are safer, with strength and durability comparable to the metals they replace. These biologically compatible materials do not react, or interact, with other materials already present in the mouth.

Dr. Curtis uses mercury and metal free ceramic tooth-colored fillings that blend well with the natural shade of your enamel. Composite materials are safer for you and for the environment.

Crowns and Bridges

Dr. Brookover uses strong, durable, metal-free ceramic, tooth-colored crowns and bridges for restoration that blend well with the natural shade of your enamel. The ceramic crowns can be made in the office in less than one hour. There is no need for a temporary crown and multiple visits to the office.

A bridge is a fixed dental restoration used to replace a missing tooth or several teeth, by joining an artificial tooth permanently to adjacent teeth or dental implants.

Dental Implants

By imitating an entire natural tooth from the root up, dental implants offer a superior and secure prosthetic that closely mimics nature. They look, feel, and function like natural teeth because they are anchored into the jaw. Dental implants can also include anchor bridges, partials, or full dentures.

Your new smile will boost your confidence, enhance your appearance, and improve your health and quality of life.

Computer Guided Implant Surgery

Computer technology has brought implant dentistry to a new level of excellence. Dr. Curtis pioneered the use of this advanced technology in New Mexico.

A three-dimensional CT scan is performed to enable Dr. Curtis to evaluate each patient's anatomy in detail. Based on the CT image, the ideal position and size of implants are determined then built virtually in the software to ensure the implants are positioned correctly to enable proper aesthetics and function for the teeth.

Zirconia Ceramic Implants

Metal free, ceramic zirconium oxide dental implants are a healthy alternative to traditional titanium.

Zirconium oxide provides excellent aesthetics because it provides better adherence of the gums to and around the implant. The white-colored zirconia implant resembles natural tooth color so there are no gray rings or shadows at the gum line, even with thin or receding gums. Additionally, since significantly less plaque forms on zirconium oxide, greater health is enhanced.

Zirconium oxide ceramics are extremely biocompatible and do not irritate the immune system. There are no known incompatibilities or allergies to this material.

Titanium Implants

For patients who prefer titanium to ceramic, Dr. Curtis offers a medical grade, pure titanium implant that is less reactive and more biocompatible than the commonly used titanium alloys.

Bone Grafting

Dr. Curtis's advanced surgical technique uses biologically compatible materials as an alternative to traditional human cadaver bone for grafting. This eliminates the risks of rejection and contamination.
